BASS began in 2003 as the Territory's answer to a Big Day Out-style music festival. It grew from a Darwin and Alice Springs launch into the NT's longest-running music festival, now staged beside the sunset at Mindil Beach.

2026 — Three stages, ten hours

Denzel Curry and Galantis joined The Living End, Peking Duk, The Teskey Brothers, G Flip, Ball Park Music, Kita Alexander and a wide mix of Territory talent for ten hours of music across three stages in 2026. The programme paired international hip-hop and electronic artists with returning Australian favourites, while The Living End reconnected the day with the inaugural 2003 bill. BASS Karaoke and the Glitter and Glo bar added new experiences beyond the live sets.
